Valentine’s Day Activities and Freebie!
I recently popped by Target for some Valentine’s Day goodies to send with my kiddos to school this year and SLIME was top on their list. I made some cute tags that I’m sharing as a FREE download in case you want to use them as well 🙂

Candy Free with Love Monsters!
Skip the candy and let your students have some MONSTROUS FUN on Valentine’s Day building their own Love Monsters with Playdoh!
Each student can build their own LOVE monster, create a Monster ID card, write about their LOVE MONSTER, and brainstorm MONSTROUS ways to show LOVE all year long. This activity set makes for a fun addition to your Valentine’s Day activities!
Just add Playdoh and whatever fun crafty items you have on hand like pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and beads!

Incorporate some STEM into your Valentine’s Day with Spoon Catapults!
What’s more fun than eating candy hearts? Launching them of course! I think they taste like chalk anyways, lol! In today’s post, I’m sharing a fun activity for your students this Valentine’s Day! Kindness Unit with Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch
This is one of my FAVORITE stories, perfect for Valentine’s Day! These activities are great for follow up after you’ve read the story as well as some activities to inspire kindness and celebrate others. You can use some of the writing activities throughout the whole month of February! Your students are sure to love this!!
If you don’t have a copy, you can watch actor Hector Elizondo read it on http://www.storylineonline.net (I usually show this version because it’s wonderful!! Hector does such a fantastic job reading the story and the kids can see the illustrations too!)
Math Riddles and Jokes for your Valentines!
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with some FUN math riddles & jokes: Give your students a PURPOSE in math! Sometimes math practice sheets can be repetitive and boring. But not these practice pages!! Each page has a Valentine’s themed joke/riddle and in order for your students to learn the answer, they must solve the math problems given. Free SLIME Valentine’s Day Cards
These cards are perfect for Valentine’s Day! Just print onto cardstock, cut, and add some glue dots for the slime! I found small heart shaped slime at TARGET and WALMART this year!
